Trypomastigote form
Length: 15 μm
- The trypomastigote form is spindle formed
- The posterior end very pointed
- The kinetoplast in the posterior end is big and prominent
- In stained blood film the trypomastigote form characteristically often assumes a 'U' or 'C' shape (exception image 4)
